The president and CEO of the West Alabama Boys and Girls Club was arrested over the weekend for allegedly possessing child pornography.
Following his Sunday-night arrest, Anthony Dellon “Tony” Bush, 52, is currently being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
Authorities found pornographic images of children on Bush’s cell phone and have since seized the phone and his Boys and Girls Club office computer.
Northport police Assistant Chief Keith Carpenter told AL.com the images seem to have been downloaded from the internet and that none have been of children who are involved in the West Alabama Boys and Girls Club.
According to authorities, they were investigating Bush for other charges when they found the pornography. Bush was under investigation for the alleged stalking of his ex-girlfriend, breaking into her car and for the alleged assault of a man who witnessed the stalking.
As a result, Bush is charged with misdemeanor assault, while a grand jury will determine if he will be charged with stalking, criminal mischief and unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle, according to AL.com.
