What’s more relaxing than live music? Nothing. Make time to study, but make time for some Tuscaloosa music before leaving for summer. Our city has saved the best music for last this semester.
Band of Brothers Brewing Co.: On Friday Band of Brothers Brewing Co. will host a Friday Night Crawfish Boil. Doors will open at 3 p.m. and the crawfish boil will start at 4 p.m. The Slash Pine Writer’s Festival event will begin at 4:30 p.m. The Mojo Trio Band will provide live music beginning at 7 p.m. The audience can expect to hear a mix of rock, country, blues, funk, southern rock and classic rock songs. There is free admission for the entire night.
Missused at Rhythm & Brews: On Friday Rhythm & Brews will host the band Missused. Doors will open at 5 p.m. This band will play everything from Michael Jackson to Rage Against the Machine to ’80s music.
Opposite Box at Green Bar: On Saturday Green Bar will host Opposite Box with Groove Cartel. Doors will open at 8 p.m. and the music starts at 10:30 p.m. Doors will close at 1 a.m. Tickets are $5 for anyone 19 years and older.
Tuscaloosa Amphitheater: On Saturday Jaheim will perform at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater. Leela James and Eric Benet will be joining Jaheim at the performance, which will start at 6 p.m. The audience can expect to hear American R&B and tickets are on sale now at www.tuscaloosaamphitheater.com.
Farmer’s Daughter at Rhythm & Brews: On Saturday Rhythm & Brews will host the band Farmer’s Daughter. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the band will play at 9:30 p.m. Farmer’s Daughter plays a range of music from classic rock to country and from the 80’s to current hits.
