During Friday’s meeting in Mobile, the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees voted to raise tuition costs for undergraduate, graduate and law school students at The University of Alabama, UAB and UAH.

As reported by the Tuscaloosa News, in-state tuition will rise by about $300 annually, out-of-state tuition will increase from about $664 to $1,150, and depending on residency, law school tuition will increase from $600 to $1,500.

Along with the vote to increase tuition, other actions by the board include approving budget revisions for the planned Second Avenue railroad overpass, revising the budget for a new freshman residence hall and approving an architectural agreement to renovate the aquatic center.

The next Board of Trustees meeting will be September 14-15.
