Former Alabama men’s basketball player Retin Obasohan dreams of playing in the NBA aren’t over yet.
The Sacramento Kings signed Obasohan to compete in the 2016 Las Vegas NBA Summer League. He led Alabama in scoring (17.6 ppg), steals (1.4 spg) and minutes (32.3 mpg) in the 2015-16 season.
League play gets started on July 8th at the Thomas and Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the University of Nevada Las Vegas’ campus and wraps up on July 18th. Obasohan’s team takes on the Toronto Raptors at 9 p.m. CT on NBA TV on the first day of play.
Each team is guaranteed five games including three preliminary games that are used to seed the teams for tournament play that beings on July 13th.
Obasohan will be joined by another former Alabama basketball player, Levi Randolph, who will compete for the Memphis Grizzlies. He will also compete for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA Summer League in Salt Lake City, Utah from July 4-7.
