No. 4 Alabama softball won its sixth-straight game Tuesday. The Crimson Tide beat Southern Miss 7-1 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Alabama scored seven runs on four hits. Only two of the runs were earned. Freshman catcher Reagan Dykes went 1-3 to extend her hitting streak to nine games, the longest of the year for Alabama player. Junior utility Chandler Dare collected a hit to bring her own streak to six games.
Sophomore righty Alexis Osorio (11-5) picked up the win. She went the distance, throwing seven innings. Osorio allowed three hits. She walked three, hit one and struck out 10. She now has 150 strikeouts on the season.
Alabama (36-7, 8-4 SEC) hits the road for a weekend series at No. 16 Texas A&M (31-9, 5-7 SEC) beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m.
