Kay M. Palan was named dean of the University’s Culverhouse College of Commerce effective July 1, an email from the University read.
Palan is currently dean of Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Palan to our University of Alabama family,” the email from interim provost, Kevin Whitaker, said. “Her experience will prove invaluable for our business school as we move forward with the University’s strategic plan and vision.”
Whitaker also thanked Brian Gray for his work as interim dean during the transition, the email read.
