Senior Andrea Hawkins was perfect from the plate, going 4-4 with two runs in No. 4 Alabama softball’s 10-3 win over Jacksonville State on Wednesday.
Junior right-hander Sydney Littlejohn (6-1) picked up the win after 5 2/3 innings pitched. She allowed three runs on seven hits, including two home runs. She struck out four and didn’t walk anyone.
Freshman left-hander Madi Moore entered in relief in the sixth inning. She faced two batters, hitting one and giving up a hit to the other.
Sophomore right-hander Alexis Osorio picked up her third save after pitching the final 1 1/3 innings of relief. She was perfect, striking out three of the four batters she faced.
At the plate, every Alabama player reached. Senior Haylie McCleney went 1-2 and drew three walks. Sophomores Demi Turner and Peyton Grantham went 1-2 as well. Freshman catcher Reagan Dykes went 1-4 with a home run.
Alabama (16-1) hosts North Dakota State, Depaul and Louisiana-Monroe in the Easton Crimson Classic starting Friday.
