Women’s golf rises to Fourth place at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Championship
The No. 7 Alabama women’s golf team competed on Monday in the Allstate Sugar Bowl Championship and finished the round with an even par 288. The Crimson Tide was sitting in fourth place entering the final round on the par 72, 6,239- yard course at the English Turn Golf and Country Club in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Senior Emma Talley, holding down second place overall for Alabama, moves on to the final 18 with a two-day combined score of 139 (-5). Lauren Kim from Stanford remains in the lead scoring a 138 (-6). Tied for seventh, fellow Alabama senior, Janie Jackson stands at 142 (-2).
With a 1-over 577, No. 12 Arizona is third. Second place is held by the No. 13 Oklahoma State (576). Leading into the third and final round, the Florida Gators secure first holding a seven-stroke lead on Oklahoma State.
Alabama began the final round on Tuesday at 8 a.m. CT paired with host Tulane and No. 37 Texas.
