Alabama’s season opener against Wisconsin in Fort Worth, Texas on Sept. 5 has been selected as the first location for ESPN’s “College GameDay” pregame show this season.
ESPN made the announcement via CollegeGameday’s twitter account Monday morning.
The appearance will be the Crimson Tide’s 33rd (20-12) overall appearance on the program. Three Alabama games played host to the show last season, with the Crimson Tide going 2-1, beating Mississippi State and Auburn but falling to Ole Miss in the first ever College GameDay trip to Oxford, Mississippi. Alabama has appeared on the program 23 times under Nick Saban, with a record of 17-6.
