Jimmy Gracey, a student at the University, was found dead in the water in Barcelona, Spain on Thursday. He was 20 years old.
Gracey was in Barcelona during a personal trip to visit friends studying abroad, and he was reported missing Tuesday morning.
He was reportedly separated from a friend at the Shôko nightclub in Port Olímpic, Barcelona, and exited the club with an unidentified person at 3 a.m local time on Tuesday, according to a police analysis of surveillance footage. Police also confirmed that Gracey did not leave the establishment alone, but do not suspect that foul play was involved.
Gracey’s phone was later found stolen in an unrelated arrest of another person. His wallet was also found on Wednesday in water by the beach Somorrostro.
Gracey’s body was identified and his death confirmed in a post on X by local police on Thursday in the Somorrostro beach area.
