The Alabama women’s golf team concluded its second tournament of the 2025 spring season, earning an 11th-place team finish at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on Wednesday.
Named after country star, golf enthusiast and South Carolina alum Darius Rucker, the intercollegiate took place at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and was hosted by the No. 5 Gamecocks.
The Crimson Tide logged individual scores as follows:
- Junior Ryan Flynn: 10-over-par 223, 33rd place
- Flynn climbed four leaderboard spots on the tournament’s final day, leading the team individually for the second tournament in a row
- Junior Mattison Frick: 11-over-par 224, 40th place
- Scoring 1-under par 70 in the second round, Frick achieved the greatest 18-hole carding amongst her UA peers
- Sophomore Julia Sánchez Morales: 12-over-par 225, 46th place
- Sophomore Harriet Lockley: 16-over-par 229, 67th place
- Lockley rose five leaderboard spots in the final round.
- Freshman Molly Brown Davidson: 17-over par 230, 72nd place
- Davidson carded the lowest final round score among UA golfers, scoring 2-over-par 73.
No 22. LSU and No. 5 South Carolina tied for first-place team honors, with matching leaderboard scores of 11-over-par 863.
Individually, Arkansas golfer Kendall Todd secured first place with a holistic carding of 1-under-par 212.
Next, the Crimson Tide will head to Tallahassee, Florida, to compete in the Florida State Matchup March 21-23. The event will be hosted by a familiar foe in the Florida State Seminoles, who won the Moon Golf Invitational against Alabama in the first tournament of the spring season.
