The University of Alabama plans to distribute approximately 60,000 masks to students across campus at the start of the fall semester, UA officials told The Crimson White on Saturday.
Each student moving into on-campus housing through Housing and Residential Communities will be issued two masks each at check-in.
During the first week of classes, masks will be distributed at four campus hubs. They will be available while supplies last, with a limit of two masks per student.
The masks are reusable and washable.
Jessie Jones, director of communications at the University, said that the University has enough supplies to provide two to three masks to each student at this point but that if a student or student group has additional needs, they should reach out to the Division of Student Life at (205)348-6670.
