Week Six of the NFL season once again featured many former Alabama football players performing at the highest level.
The Washington Redskins had a number of Alabama alumni make an impact against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Safety Landon Collins led the Redskins to their first win of the season with 12 tackles, one sack, two pass deflections and one forced fumble. His teammate, defensive lineman Jonathan Allen, sacked the Dolphins quarterback twice, and linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton recorded three tackles and one interception. Tight end Hale Hentges made his NFL debut but recorded no stats. Dolphins running back Kenyan Drake totaled 70 yards from scrimmage in the same game.
Former Crimson Tide players on the Baltimore Ravens also had a good day, with running back Mark Ingram scoring a touchdown and cornerback Marlon Humphrey recording an interception.
The duo of Falcons wide receivers Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley had a productive day with Jones catching eight passes for 108 yards and Ridley catching four passes for 43 yards and one touchdown.
Denver Broncos defensive back Kareem Jackson intercepted his first pass of the season in a 16-0 win over the Tennessee Titans. Titans linebacker Rashaan Evans recorded 10 tackles.
Green Bay Packers punter J.K. Scott again averaged more than 50 yards per punt, including a long of 53. In the same game, Detroit Lions defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson forced one fumble and had seven tackles.
