Blenz Bowls is the best food truck

Whether it’s parked across from Tutwiler Dorm or at the corner of Reese Phifer Hall, the Blenz Bowls food truck always has a long line of people waiting to place an order. Sure, there are several other food trucks around campus, but this one is the best.

Since students are mainly on campus for breakfast and lunch, Blenz is the perfect choice for an on-campus meal, and is also acceptable as a wonderful snack in between classes. Once you have made it past the long line and reach the window to order, you can select from seven bases to fill up the bowl and 15 toppings to make it unique. For example, a strawberry base bowl covered in blueberries, bananas, grapes and granola crumbs sounds like a perfect treat to dine on while sitting on the Quad. No matter the ingredients, your bowl will fill you up with all the nutrients and protein it has.

Yet another reason that Blenz Bowls is the best food truck on campus is the nutritional value of a smoothie or a bowl. Personally, I would rather eat a bowl of juicy fruit than a greasy taco from La Mexicana. If a bowl is not what you’re craving, they also have smoothies. Offering small, medium and large sizes, this truck has more selection than the Smoothie King at the Student Rec Center.

Not only does Blenz Bowl have delicious selections to pick from, it also has an inspiring Bible verse of the day written on the chalkboard outside the truck. So whether you’re walking past the truck on your way to class or getting a bowl, you’ll see the verse and feel instantly happy.

Another reason that Blenz is the best food truck is because it gives off an aesthetic vibe that students look for. The truck itself is a nice shade of eggshell white with pastel colors, allowing it to stand out next to the other metal food trucks. Plus, the first thing people do when they get their Blenz bowl is take a picture for Snapchat – the bowls themselves are aesthetically pleasing.

Yet another draw of Blenz Bowls is that you get your money’s worth. For example, the La Mexicana food truck charges you $10 for two small tacos and a drink. Within seconds, that small meal is gone. Blenz, on the other hand, lasts long enough for you to cross the entire Quad on your way to class.

Offering the perfect sized bowl to fit in your hands, Blenz is worth those extra dollars compared to the other selections available on campus. A bowl is $9, while a smoothie is $5. Don’t worry about if it’s raining, if the line is too long or if you’re already running late to class. Stop and get in line for the best bowl of fruit in the world. Read the Bible verse of the day and have your ACT card ready, because Blenz is worth it. If you don’t believe me, just give it a try.
