The College of Communication and Information Sciences will be hosting its 10th annual Discerning Diverse Voices Symposium on Feb. 28. This year’s’ symposium is co-sponsored with the Alabama Program in Sports Communication. Justin Ching, founder of j-school, a production company dedicated to empowering underrepresented communities, will be the keynote speaker.

Who: Open to public

When: Thursday, Feb. 28 and Friday, March 1 from 8 a.m.- 4:45 p.m.

Where: Gorgas 205

Why: “It is important for students to join us at this symposium to learn how to embrace diversity from an academic standpoint and learn more about diversity,” said Kenon Brown, programming director for Alabama Program in Sports Communication.
