Alabama basketball falls on the road to UCF

After struggling early on offense, Alabama’s second-half resurgence wasn’t enough and the Crimson Tide lost to UCF 70-64 on the road Thursday night.

Alabama was cold from the onset, missing 14 of its first 15 shots and falling into a double-digit deficit with a little over six minutes left in the first half. The Crimson Tide was able to trim the Knights’ lead to four at halftime, and even took a small lead in the second, but UCF pulled away in the end.

Kira Lewis Jr. and Alex Reese paced Alabama in scoring with 14 points a piece while Donta Hall chipped in 11 as well. Overall, Alabama only shot 37.9 percent from the field and an abysmal 20.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Alabama (5-2) will be back in action against Georgia State on Dec. 4, when the Crimson Tide return to Coleman Coliseum.
