The Alabama softball team maintained it’s top-10 ranking in the week two USA Today/NCFA poll, coming in at No. 10. The Crimson Tide slipped to No. 13 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball.

Alabama went 3-1 last weekend in the Black and Gold Invitational in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Alabama won the first three games by a combined score of 33-2, defeating Southern Miss, McNeese and Mississippi Valley State.

The Crimson Tide dropped its finale of the tournament, to Baylor, ranked No. 8/10 this week, 2-1. The loss dropped Alabama one spot in the NCFA and four spots in the USA polls.

All 13 SEC teams are either ranked in the top-25 in the polls or have received votes. Florida is No. 1 in the USA poll, but No. 2 in the NCFA. Texas A&M (6/9) and LSU (7/8) are the only teams ranked above Alabama in both polls.

Alabama makes its 2018 home debut this weekend, hosting the Easton Bama Bash. The Crimson Tide open play Friday at 4 p.m. against Georgia State and at 6 p.m. against No. 9/7 Florida State.
