Mardi Gras is a great excuse to try new foods and beverages and show off your favorite yellow and purple attire. If you couldn’t travel to New Orleans or Mobile this past weekend, who says you can’t still celebrate in Tuscaloosa? Here’s a list of Mardi Gras events or places that have Mardi Gras drink and food specials in Tuscaloosa.

Catch 22 

The cocktail bar will have special drinks on Fat Tuesday including, but not limited to, Hurricane Infusions, Sweet Dark Cherry Vieux Carres, Sazeracs and Absinthe shots.

Harry’s Bar


In honor of Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras, Harry’s will offer various drink specials Tuesday night. 

The Brass Trap

To celebrate the season, the Brass Trap will have $4 Abita pints and Hurricanes. Additionally, the bar will have king cake, and whoever gets the baby will win a gift card.

Rounders Bar

In addition to their usual drink specials, on Fat Tuesday Rounders will be serving $5 Hurricanes and $3 Jell-O shots.

Wheelhouse Sports Pub

Wheelhouse will be serving a “Fat Tuesday” pizza for all their pizza-loving customers. The specialty pizza will be topped with blackened chicken, andouille, conecuh, tri-colored bell peppers, onions and Cajun cream sauce.

The Filling Station

On Fat Tuesday, the Filling Station will have $4 wells. However, the Mardi Gras celebration doesn’t end there. On Wednesday, $1, $2 and $3 drafts will be served with free pool. On Wednesday, the Filling Station will have 5 drinks for $5.
