Bama Art House presents Oscar-nominated foreign film

Bama Art House will show the Oscar-nominated movie “The Square” on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m. as part of their winter film series at the Bama Theater on Greensboro Avenue. 

The film is a satirical drama written and directed by Ruben Östlund starring Claes Bang, Elisabeth Moss and Dominic West. This Swedish film centers around the installation of a contemporary art exhibit and the ups and downs of exhibit supervisor Christian, played by Bang. The film is a comedic and dramatic portrayal of community, morality and self-conflict. 

Tickets cost $8 for general admission, $7 for students and seniors and $6 for Arts Council members. Punch cards are also available for $60 and allow 10 films in any series. The box office opens at 6:30 p.m. and doors and Bama Bar open at 6:45 p.m. 

Bama Art House is presented by the Arts Council of Tuscaloosa and brings contemporary and independent films right here to Tuscaloosa.
