The track and field team won three events on Saturday in the Commodore Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee.
Junior Angelo Goss won the men’s 60-meter hurdles event with time of 7.96 seconds. He was the only one to cross the finish line in under eight seconds.
Quanesha Burks won the women’s 60 meters with a time 7.325 seconds, and the second place finisher, Auburn’s Jonielle Smith finished with a time of 7.328 seconds. Burks set a new personal best in the victory.
A team of Diamond Gause, Domonique Williams, Katie Funcheon and Brianna Sims won the women’s 4×400 relay with a time of 3:44.33.
The Alabama team of Diamond Gause, Domonique Williams, Katie Funcheon and Brianna Sims claimed the women’s 4×400 relay with a time of 3:44.33.
Both the men and women will return to action in the Conference Clash in Birmingham, Alabama on Friday Jan. 22.
