The Alabama Crimson Tide cross country team released their schedule for the upcoming 2022 season on Tuesday.

The schedule features three regular season in-state meets and one regular season out-of-state meet, in addition to three postseason events.

The team officially starts its season by traveling to Florence, Ala. to compete in the Lion Opener on Sept. 1.

Following the season opener, the Crimson Tide competes in the North Alabama Showcase on Sept. 16 in Huntsville, Ala.

The team travels up to South Bend, Ind., on Sept. 30 for the Joe Piane Invitational.

Alabama returns to the Harry Pritchett Running Course on Oct. 15 for the Crimson Classic to close out the regular season. The meet marks the first regular season competition hosted by the Crimson Tide since 2017.

“We’re excited to be competing at home in mid-October,” Alabama head coach Dan Waters said. “While we’ve been able to compete within the state of Alabama quite bit over the last couple of years, and again this year, there’s nothing quite like competing on your home course in front of your friends, family and fans. Overall, this is a great schedule that will prepare us for the postseason.”

The postseason starts for the Crimson Tide on Oct. 28, as the team heads to Oxford, Miss. for the SEC Championships.

After that, the Crimson Tide heads up to Huntsville, Ala. for the second time of the year for the NCAA South Regional Championships on Nov. 11.

Alabama closes out the season on Nov. 19 with a road trip to Stillwater, Okla. for the NCAA Championships.
