Crimson defeated White 24-12 in Alabama’s spring football game.

The Crimson team defeated the White 24-12 in Alabama’s spring game on Saturday. The second team offense, led by Mac Jones, was able to score the only touchdowns in the game. 

Moment of the game

During a game in which big plays were at a premium, redshirt freshman Chadarius Townsend’s 65-yard touchdown reception from redshirt freshman quarterback Mac Jones provided the day’s biggest highlight. After catching Jones’ pass, Townsend shed a tackle and raced down the sideline for the score, putting the White team up 14 – 0 early in the second quarter.

  • Joseph Bulovas was 5-for-7 on field goal attempts in the first half, with a long of 49 yards.
  • Mac Jones had a strong first half. He threw for 179 yards while completing 12 passes. He finished with 289 yards and twl 
  • Brain Robinson scored the first touchdown of the game with a one-yard run on the Crimson’s second drive of the game.
  • In his first appearance replacing JK Scott, Skyler DeLong averaged 39.4 yards a punt, and landed six inside the 20-yard line.
