Amy Schumer's Birmingham show cancelled

Comedian and actress, Amy Schumer, with less than a month’s notice, has cancelled her upcoming show in Birmingham. Schumer is known for her starring role in the Comedy Central series “Inside Amy Schumer” and the movie “Trainwreck,” and as the best-selling author of “The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo.”

Schumer was set to appear at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC on Oct. 12, but, according to promoter Live Nation, scheduling conflicts caused the cancellation. This was the only Alabama stop on the comedian’s world tour, though she will be in Atlanta, Georgia and Memphis, Tennessee in mid-October.

Refunds on tickets that ranged from $39-$109, plus service charges, will be given to customers. According to the company’s typical policy, refunds will automatically go to customers who bought tickets online or by phone using credit cards through Ticketmaster/Live Nation.

For customers who didn’t use Ticketmaster/Live Nation, they must return their tickets to the place of purchase if they would like a refund.
