Hales scores season-high in loss to Georgia

Alabama seemed to be well on its way to another unforgettable performance when Shannon Hale went down with an apparent elbow injury in the first half, but he didn’t let that stop him.

Instead Hale went on to score 17 points in the second half as he finished with a season-high 25 points. Unfortunately that wasn’t enough to prevent Alabama (17-13, 8-10 SEC) from picking up its fourth loss in five games as the Bulldogs beat Alabama 70-63 in Athens, Georgia.

Retin Obasohan also struggled at first. He finished the first half shooting 1-6 from the field before picking it up in the second half to finish with 15 total points.

Alabama must now wait for the Florida Gators to play Missouri to determine what seed the Crimson Tide receives in the SEC Tournament. A Florida loss will result in a No. 9 seed for Alabama, but a Gators victory will result in a No.10 seed for Alabama.
