Quartets Galore proceeds to contribute to string scholarships

WHAT: Quartets Galore

WHO: Capstone String Quartet, Tuscaloosa City School System’s string program

WHEN: Jan. 25 at 2 p.m.

WHERE: The recital hall in Moody Music Building

WHY:  “Quartets Galore is a fundraiser event that features many different examples of music,” said Pamela Penick, the director of music administration at the University. “Performances will include a rendition of Mozart Quartet K. 465 by the Capstone String Quartet, a four-hand piano piece and a demonstration of Tai Chi. It is going to be a really great and cultural event.” 

Admission is $25 and can be bought at the doo. All proceeds will go to various charities, including string scholarships on the high school and university level.
