College of Engineering names five Distinguished Engineering Fellows

The University of Alabama’s College of Engineering named five of its alumni to the Distinguished Engineering Fellows class of 2015. The class includes Felicia Riggs Cook of Huntsville; Lars D. Ericsson of Huntsville; Huban A. Gowadia of Arlington, Virginia; Donald J. Kaderbek, Jr. of Stone Mountain, Georgia; and Sheila S. Sharp of Huntsville. The college honored these individuals April 11 in a ceremony held in the downtown Embassy Suites. The award has been given annually for more than 25 years. In that time, fewer than 400 people have received the honor, which is considered one of the top honors given to alumni of the College of Engineering.
