UA softball ranked No. 6 in ESPN poll

The Alabama softball team is ranked No. 6 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll, which was released Tuesday. The Crimson Tide was also placed sixth in the preseason NFCA/USA Today poll released last week. The team was voted to finish third in the Southeastern Conference in the preseason coaches poll.

McCleary named SEC Diver of the Week

Alabama senior diver Paige McCleary has been named the SEC Diver of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday. McCleary broke both the school and Alabama Aquatic Center records on the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards on Saturday.

Rowing adds six members to 2014-15 class

The Alabama rowing team added six newcomers for the 2014-15 class during the early signing period, the team announced Tuesday. Charlotte Ann Adkins, Erin Hayes, Margaret Gillespie, Meghan Hampton, Olivia Miller and Nicole Lane are the new additions for the Crimson Tide. Alabama rowing begins its 2014 spring season March 15-16 at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
